My 3 Contour Palettes (Comparision).

I have always been a fan of contouring my face ever since I had discovered it and now seriously, it’s the one thing I cannot live without. Contouring is a great procedure that does wonders to your face, as it makes it slimmer and sharper, I mean who doesn’t contour?? I wanted to share my three contour palettes that I use (two of them are from a drugstore and cheap!).

The first contour palette I want to share is the ‘Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Cream Kit’.

I mean everyone must have heard about this palette and when I first got it, I was soooo in love! I didn’t want to use it at first just so I didn’t mess it up but once I started using it I didn’t want to stop. I remember first buying this and thinking £40 on a contour item is a lot but then always thought it was so worth it! However, I did re-think about the price and because its an item I use every day, I decided to go out to a drugstore and check out what contour palettes are there that can be used as an alternative.

So shopping along the makeup aisle I realised the brand ‘Sleek’ did a new contour that was on the shelves and very highly promoted, I picked it up and thought I’d give it a go, so yes I bought it.

The ‘Sleek’ contour became my everyday use, as it was only £10! But unfortunately, didn’t last so long (whereas Anastasia did), which meant I had to go out there and stack up on some more.

On another shopping day, I had realised the drugstore I normally went to (Superdrug) now had, ELF make-up in store and due to hearing about ELF a lot I went to go and check it out. I found ELF had a contour palette too and as I was running out, I thought let’s just try this and guess what, IT WAS ONLY £7.50! At first, I thought this isn’t going to be so good because it’s cheaper than the others but however, results had proven me wrong! ELF was so creamy, as it was easier to apply to the face and blend in properly (others weren’t so like that). It also lasted me for so long, that I didn’t have to make a sooner trip to go and get some more. The pigmentation and effect ELF has given is amazing!!!

I seriously loved it so much that I had recommended it to all my friends and family. Such a great contour palette!

***QUICK TIP: I usually buy a shade darker to my usual (I am a medium shade, so I buy dark) just so I have more of the product to use as contour, as then I can use the bottom two shades freely as this saves money and saves you running out of product quickly.

Anyone else have any recommendations of drugstore contour palettes? Comment below and let me know, I would be happy to check them out!

Teeth Whitening

Having the whitest brightest thing is something we all want right? Well I came across this product ‘Activated Charcoal, Teeth Whitening Powder (Coconut Shell Charcoal)’ and after reading the reviews I had to buy it!

I bought this product and it came in a Charcoal powder form in where you wet your tooth brush and dip it in the powder and brush your teeth without using your everyday toothpaste. After one use I had noticed that my teeth did become a bit whiter than before and of course repetitive usage will bring better results.

You have to try it too and can purchase this item online (Amazon) for only £12.99!!
If you’re not too keen on this, Lush do a Charcoal toothpaste also..

This is called ‘BOOM!’ and comes in little Charcoal tablets in which you bite into, the taste is a bit weird but you just have to ignore it and you just brush using one tablet and you’ll see the results! You can even go to Lush and get a sample to try it first!

I have tried them both and can say they are both as good as each other, try them out!

‘Kylie Jenners Burgundy Palette’ Dupe!

The burgundy eyeshadow palette by Kylie Jenner has really become a popular item of the Kylie collection. It is a beautiful palette containing beautiful colours, however, is the price of $42.00 USD. I have found a dupe of this, may not be the exact same but contains most of the colours and is super cheap!

The experience of ‘getting over someone’.

Love is the most amazing and heartbreaking thing ever. Heartbreaks are the worst and once you truly experience it, you don’t even want to wish it on your worst enemy. So many people go throughs heartbreaks and sometimes it seems impossible to get over. Everyone has their own little way of dealing with sadness but if you seriously don’t know what to do, here’s my little experience.
I had my first boyfriend 3 years ago. He was the boy I wanted to date since the first day I spoke to him. I didn’t think it would ever happen until one day it did, we got together and life was just like those romantic movies. But slowly as time passed, things started to turn evil and it made me sad because I could see I was losing someone important to me. As presumed he broke up with me, I was truly broken. I became so upset and depressed that I didn’t even know what life meant anymore. You turn to friends and you find they’ll just tell you to “move on”, but no one understood that it wasn’t that easy, so I distanced myself from them. I became so bad that I went and joined myself to counselling sessions with a counsellor at my University. The honesty here is that I felt like these sessions didn’t work. I was told, “join our dance/sports society and don’t think about it.” I mean, okay that will help temporarily but what about at nights when all your deep thoughts come at once and you just lay there? Months and months went on, I mean it was my first heartbreak so it was difficult, I didn’t know where to go and who turn to, the person I wanted to turn to didn’t want to know me anymore. Things got so desperate in trying to become better, I googled all sorts of things but nothing could help. It took me a year and a half to get over this situation but slowly I discovered in what to do, so this is what I would like to share with you.

One key fact that you should always remember is that no one can ever talk you out of your feelings and heartbreak. Yes, they say talking about your feelings helps but not always; as people won’t understand your situation and you don’t want to be remembered as someone who was depressed over a heartbreak.

Next key fact is that sometimes it can turn to hurting yourself, as it keeps you distracted temporarily from your real pain. But scars remain and every time you look at them you will always remember the hurt and this will make you sad in the future when things are better.

What slowly helped me was being around people I loved (family, friends) just don’t talk about your situation and try and forget what you’re going through. Get distracted by activities and laughs. Tire yourself out, so that at nights you won’t have to think about anything because you’d be so tired that there is no time to sleep. Work out, think about working on your body and health and become an even better-looking person, so your ex can look and think “I messed up!” Pick up a new hobby, try being creative, do new things! I found writing helped a lot for me, turn your feelings into short poems or songs, write a journal even. Give someone else a chance, I didn’t want to speak to anyone else after him but if I did I feel I would have gotten over him quicker, as that someone else becomes a distraction which makes your ex fade out. Reading books also helped at nights, my mind went on different thoughts and journeys before I went to sleep. Just always try and keep yourself busy, especially in becoming a better person for yourself!

All these things helped me and I just wanted to share it because I know how difficult it can be, so if I can get through it anyone can. There is hope for all of us!

Make your eyes lighter with ‘honey’.

How-Is-Honey-Helpful-For-Eyes2
Honey is very beneficial to our health and skin in many ways but did you know it can make your eyes lighter? If you have brown eyes like mine that can often seem very dull and dark, now there is a possible solution to fix that. Last summer I had heard that eating a spoonful of honey in the morning and before bed can slowly make your eyes more of a lighter colour and this did seem to work slowly. However, reading on from this I had found that mixing honey with water and making it into an eye drop solution lightens the colour of your eye gradually. So, I decided to take the risk as I just wanted to experiment something and what’s a better way than trying to change the colour of your eyes? After a few days of trying it, I had realised that this method was actually working, I even tried to tell my friends but they thought I was crazy until they saw the results in my eyes (doesn’t make a huge difference but can see a lighter shade of brown).

If you would like to try this tip, just follow these instructions:

  1. Mix raw honey and warm water together. More water than honey is needed in order to make it a watery solution and safe, so make sure the liquid is transparent.
  2. Pour the liquid into an empty eye drop bottle (my bottle was just a previous brighten eyedrops bottle that I had purchased at a drug store in which I emptied and washed out).
  3. Shake the bottle once the liquid is poured into it, so it gives it a good mix.
  4. Leave overnight or a few hours so the liquid has cooled down and ready to use.
  5. Apply 2-3 drops in each eye, twice a day.

Follow these results and you should have lighter eyes in no time. If you are a bit cautious about applying honey in your eyes then you could always just have a spoonful of honey in the morning and before bed. If anyone has any questions or is trying it please comment below and tell me about your results.
