My 3 Contour Palettes (Comparision).

I have always been a fan of contouring my face ever since I had discovered it and now seriously, it’s the one thing I cannot live without. Contouring is a great procedure that does wonders to your face, as it makes it slimmer and sharper, I mean who doesn’t contour?? I wanted to share my three contour palettes that I use (two of them are from a drugstore and cheap!).

The first contour palette I want to share is the ‘Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Cream Kit’.

I mean everyone must have heard about this palette and when I first got it, I was soooo in love! I didn’t want to use it at first just so I didn’t mess it up but once I started using it I didn’t want to stop. I remember first buying this and thinking £40 on a contour item is a lot but then always thought it was so worth it! However, I did re-think about the price and because its an item I use every day, I decided to go out to a drugstore and check out what contour palettes are there that can be used as an alternative.

So shopping along the makeup aisle I realised the brand ‘Sleek’ did a new contour that was on the shelves and very highly promoted, I picked it up and thought I’d give it a go, so yes I bought it.

The ‘Sleek’ contour became my everyday use, as it was only £10! But unfortunately, didn’t last so long (whereas Anastasia did), which meant I had to go out there and stack up on some more.

On another shopping day, I had realised the drugstore I normally went to (Superdrug) now had, ELF make-up in store and due to hearing about ELF a lot I went to go and check it out. I found ELF had a contour palette too and as I was running out, I thought let’s just try this and guess what, IT WAS ONLY £7.50! At first, I thought this isn’t going to be so good because it’s cheaper than the others but however, results had proven me wrong! ELF was so creamy, as it was easier to apply to the face and blend in properly (others weren’t so like that). It also lasted me for so long, that I didn’t have to make a sooner trip to go and get some more. The pigmentation and effect ELF has given is amazing!!!

I seriously loved it so much that I had recommended it to all my friends and family. Such a great contour palette!

***QUICK TIP: I usually buy a shade darker to my usual (I am a medium shade, so I buy dark) just so I have more of the product to use as contour, as then I can use the bottom two shades freely as this saves money and saves you running out of product quickly.

Anyone else have any recommendations of drugstore contour palettes? Comment below and let me know, I would be happy to check them out!

Lip Kit Battle (Huda vs. Kylie)

Lip Kits are so popular right now in Make-up ever since Kylie Jenner introduced the Matte Lip Kits. Now almost every brand is competing but I’d like to compare Kylie Jenner’s lip kit to Huda Beauty’s. I have had all sorts of reviews for the Huda Beauty Matte’s and as they were such a craze that I had to try them!

So I bought three colours: Bombshell, Vixen and Trendsetter. I only went to try these colours out as they were my kind of colours. But can I just say I LOVE the packaging of these! The prices of these are way better than the Kylie Jenner lip kits, as they are only £18 (cult beauty). However, I did find them to be a little sticky and the colours didn’t really appeal to me once applied.

Whereas, the first time I bought Kylie Jenner’s lip kits, I instantly fell in love! I, therefore, went on to buy two more lip mattes and the Birthday Edition and The KOKO collection.

The top three colours are: Kourt K, Posie K, Koko K.

I honestly can say I happily used all these colours and was happy with each one (even if it didn’t suit me), although Huda did a better job on the pricing, as making it more affordable and there is no shipping fee for the UK, I still prefer the Kylie Cosmetics, sorry Huda! But I guess everyone has their own opinion.

What do you guys think?

Teeth Whitening

Having the whitest brightest thing is something we all want right? Well I came across this product ‘Activated Charcoal, Teeth Whitening Powder (Coconut Shell Charcoal)’ and after reading the reviews I had to buy it!

I bought this product and it came in a Charcoal powder form in where you wet your tooth brush and dip it in the powder and brush your teeth without using your everyday toothpaste. After one use I had noticed that my teeth did become a bit whiter than before and of course repetitive usage will bring better results.

You have to try it too and can purchase this item online (Amazon) for only £12.99!!
If you’re not too keen on this, Lush do a Charcoal toothpaste also..

This is called ‘BOOM!’ and comes in little Charcoal tablets in which you bite into, the taste is a bit weird but you just have to ignore it and you just brush using one tablet and you’ll see the results! You can even go to Lush and get a sample to try it first!

I have tried them both and can say they are both as good as each other, try them out!

‘Kylie Jenners Burgundy Palette’ Dupe!

kylie-jenner-kyshadow-burgundy-1170x780_530x
The burgundy eyeshadow palette by Kylie Jenner has really become a popular item of the Kylie collection. It is a beautiful palette containing beautiful colours, however, is the price of $42.00 USD. I have found a dupe of this, may not be the exact same but contains most of the colours and is super cheap!

Lottie London
This is the ‘Lottie London, The Rusts’ palette that I had found in a beauty store (Superdrug, UK). I had been looking for a nice orange/brown colour for so long until I found this palette! I was so excited so I had to buy it and must I say the pigment is so good and it is so similar to the ‘Kylie Burgundy Palette’. I am honestly in love and thought I should recommend it to you guys! The best thing is that the price is only, £9.95!!! You can find this palette on:  https://lottie.london/collections/eye/products/shadow-swatch-the-nudes-1

Be ‘bold’ with what you wear!

colour-blog-1170x693

I’m not the one to be wearing bold colours when it comes to fashion, all my life I liked to stick to my usual black and white colours when it came to buying clothes, as I just felt bright and bold colours were not the one for me. But, recently over the last few months I have started to find my love for bolder colours. Wearing bold colours in summer is a perfect time, as everything just contrasts so well!

I had recently bought a leather jacket (as leather jackets are so in right now!) in the colour of Yellow/Mustard. I instantly fell in love with this jacket as I saw someone in my Psychology class wearing one in where I had to ask where she had got it from. I bought this jacket the next day and wearing it out, got me receiving so many compliments. My friend had commented that she didn’t think it would look so nice until she saw me wearing it.

Above are two images of myself in the leather jacket, if anyone else would like to purchase this jacket you can find it on: http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/jackets-and-coats/yellow-belted-cropped-leather-look-biker-jacket-_513014387

As I am obsessed with this look, I decided to share this post with yourselves and just to say never be scared to wear bright and bold colours as now is the perfect time to! Also rather wearing just clothes that are bold and bright, why not try a new bold lipstick colour maybe? I am a huge fan of red lipsticks and it is my favourite, so why not experiment and stand out this summer?
