My 3 Contour Palettes (Comparision).

I have always been a fan of contouring my face ever since I had discovered it and now seriously, it’s the one thing I cannot live without. Contouring is a great procedure that does wonders to your face, as it makes it slimmer and sharper, I mean who doesn’t contour?? I wanted to share my three contour palettes that I use (two of them are from a drugstore and cheap!).

The first contour palette I want to share is the ‘Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Cream Kit’.

I mean everyone must have heard about this palette and when I first got it, I was soooo in love! I didn’t want to use it at first just so I didn’t mess it up but once I started using it I didn’t want to stop. I remember first buying this and thinking £40 on a contour item is a lot but then always thought it was so worth it! However, I did re-think about the price and because its an item I use every day, I decided to go out to a drugstore and check out what contour palettes are there that can be used as an alternative.

So shopping along the makeup aisle I realised the brand ‘Sleek’ did a new contour that was on the shelves and very highly promoted, I picked it up and thought I’d give it a go, so yes I bought it.

The ‘Sleek’ contour became my everyday use, as it was only £10! But unfortunately, didn’t last so long (whereas Anastasia did), which meant I had to go out there and stack up on some more.

On another shopping day, I had realised the drugstore I normally went to (Superdrug) now had, ELF make-up in store and due to hearing about ELF a lot I went to go and check it out. I found ELF had a contour palette too and as I was running out, I thought let’s just try this and guess what, IT WAS ONLY £7.50! At first, I thought this isn’t going to be so good because it’s cheaper than the others but however, results had proven me wrong! ELF was so creamy, as it was easier to apply to the face and blend in properly (others weren’t so like that). It also lasted me for so long, that I didn’t have to make a sooner trip to go and get some more. The pigmentation and effect ELF has given is amazing!!!

I seriously loved it so much that I had recommended it to all my friends and family. Such a great contour palette!

***QUICK TIP: I usually buy a shade darker to my usual (I am a medium shade, so I buy dark) just so I have more of the product to use as contour, as then I can use the bottom two shades freely as this saves money and saves you running out of product quickly.

Anyone else have any recommendations of drugstore contour palettes? Comment below and let me know, I would be happy to check them out!

Lip Kit Battle (Huda vs. Kylie)

Lip Kits are so popular right now in Make-up ever since Kylie Jenner introduced the Matte Lip Kits. Now almost every brand is competing but I’d like to compare Kylie Jenner’s lip kit to Huda Beauty’s. I have had all sorts of reviews for the Huda Beauty Matte’s and as they were such a craze that I had to try them!

So I bought three colours: Bombshell, Vixen and Trendsetter. I only went to try these colours out as they were my kind of colours. But can I just say I LOVE the packaging of these! The prices of these are way better than the Kylie Jenner lip kits, as they are only £18 (cult beauty). However, I did find them to be a little sticky and the colours didn’t really appeal to me once applied.

Whereas, the first time I bought Kylie Jenner’s lip kits, I instantly fell in love! I, therefore, went on to buy two more lip mattes and the Birthday Edition and The KOKO collection.

The top three colours are: Kourt K, Posie K, Koko K.

I honestly can say I happily used all these colours and was happy with each one (even if it didn’t suit me), although Huda did a better job on the pricing, as making it more affordable and there is no shipping fee for the UK, I still prefer the Kylie Cosmetics, sorry Huda! But I guess everyone has their own opinion.

What do you guys think?

Dermaroller

IMG_8626

The Dermaroller has caught a lot of people’s eye, so thought I’d write a blog on it. The Dermaroller is a tool that has 100’s of needles in order to create little holes in your skin so that your skin can repair itself. It improves acne scars, wrinkles, ageing and sun-damaged skin and stretch marks which gives the skin more of a glow.

But does it actually work?
I had read reviews on the Dermaroller and many people had said it worked, so I thought it is worth a buy to try it myself. I have been using it now for a while (at least once a week) and it is something that takes some time to work but I am slowly started to see changes.

I use a 1.5mm Dermaroller, although you can get these in different sizes, I went for a slightly bigger one than the usual as I wanted to use it for my body to get rid of stretch marks. I use it all over my face and lips as recently I’ve found out that it makes your lips look more pumped and smooth.

I bought mine from:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Guide-540-Wrinkles-Stretch-Removal-Hyper-pigmentation/dp/B06XDLL4ND/ref=sr_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1506707133&sr=8-3&keywords=derma+roller

Anyone else is using this? Comment below and let me know what you think!

Teeth Whitening

Having the whitest brightest thing is something we all want right? Well I came across this product ‘Activated Charcoal, Teeth Whitening Powder (Coconut Shell Charcoal)’ and after reading the reviews I had to buy it!

I bought this product and it came in a Charcoal powder form in where you wet your tooth brush and dip it in the powder and brush your teeth without using your everyday toothpaste. After one use I had noticed that my teeth did become a bit whiter than before and of course repetitive usage will bring better results.

You have to try it too and can purchase this item online (Amazon) for only £12.99!!
If you’re not too keen on this, Lush do a Charcoal toothpaste also..

This is called ‘BOOM!’ and comes in little Charcoal tablets in which you bite into, the taste is a bit weird but you just have to ignore it and you just brush using one tablet and you’ll see the results! You can even go to Lush and get a sample to try it first!

I have tried them both and can say they are both as good as each other, try them out!

Make your eyes lighter with ‘honey’.

How-Is-Honey-Helpful-For-Eyes2
Honey is very beneficial to our health and skin in many ways but did you know it can make your eyes lighter? If you have brown eyes like mine that can often seem very dull and dark, now there is a possible solution to fix that. Last summer I had heard that eating a spoonful of honey in the morning and before bed can slowly make your eyes more of a lighter colour and this did seem to work slowly. However, reading on from this I had found that mixing honey with water and making it into an eye drop solution lightens the colour of your eye gradually. So, I decided to take the risk as I just wanted to experiment something and what’s a better way than trying to change the colour of your eyes? After a few days of trying it, I had realised that this method was actually working, I even tried to tell my friends but they thought I was crazy until they saw the results in my eyes (doesn’t make a huge difference but can see a lighter shade of brown).

If you would like to try this tip, just follow these instructions:

  1. Mix raw honey and warm water together. More water than honey is needed in order to make it a watery solution and safe, so make sure the liquid is transparent.
  2. Pour the liquid into an empty eye drop bottle (my bottle was just a previous brighten eyedrops bottle that I had purchased at a drug store in which I emptied and washed out).
  3. Shake the bottle once the liquid is poured into it, so it gives it a good mix.
  4. Leave overnight or a few hours so the liquid has cooled down and ready to use.
  5. Apply 2-3 drops in each eye, twice a day.

Follow these results and you should have lighter eyes in no time. If you are a bit cautious about applying honey in your eyes then you could always just have a spoonful of honey in the morning and before bed. If anyone has any questions or is trying it please comment below and tell me about your results.

The new face mask obsession.

The ‘Black Mask’.

So, I will begin posting about the new face mask trend that is meant to be amazing! This is the ‘black mask’, as I am sure everyone has heard of. If you haven’t then well the black (charcoal) mask, is a mask that you peel off after applying it onto your skin. The peel tends to grab all pores in order to detoxify and clear skin, in which it acts out as a magnet to draw out trapped dirt deep within the pores. The peel of the mask can at times hurt as it has a very tight grip. So, therefore, the little hairs on your face will also be removed during the peeling (who needs to wax/thread their faces anymore?!).

Peels and Seals Activated Charcoal Peel

As it such a big trend now, there are many versions of the mask that are created by different companies. The most popular one is, ‘Shills’ however this can start from a starting price of £12.99 for just 50ml (Tescos). I decided to go for another brand version of the mask (‘Peels and Seals’) and got this for a lesser price and double the amount (100ml) and surprisingly it still works wonders!

L’Oreal Pure Clay

Continuing the topic on masks, there is one more mask that has a trend craze but not as much as ‘the black mask’. This mask is created by L’Oreal and is called the ‘Pure Clay mask’. There are three different types: Purity Mask, Detox Mask and Glow Mask. Each mask has its own purpose. Although, I have not tried the other two but will do shortly, I have tried the ‘Glow Mask’. The results I got after using this product was absoloutly amazing as my skin looked healthier and I had much more of a glow. The smell was refreshing and I have to say one of the best masks that I have used in a while.

L’Oreal Pure Clay Glow Mask

Due to L’Oreal being a well-known brand these masks can almost be found anywhere especially at drugstores such as, Boots and Superdrug. These masks are retailed at £7.99 each but if you catch a sale you will get them for around £5/6.

So, why not get your hands on these two products? If you’re thinking of getting clear and more of a glow to your skin in summer then these items will be perfect for you!

If anyone needs help in buying one of these products, as wanting a cheaper deal, then feel free to leave me a message as I will be able to order some in for you and get them sent to you. Any other questions or queries, feel free to comment below.
